Happy Pico Day everyone!!!

I have a submission I’m working on, but with work n some chronic illness shiz I’m not sure if I’ll have it done by today

For the .01 percent of my followers that care about my music, I finally made a soundcloud page! I still have no idea how to use it, but I hope to post my newer songs there as well as on Newgrounds

While I'm on the topic of music, I'm also working on an ep! It'll probably be a bit before I release it, but I have a lot of the instrumentals done and I'm really proud of what I have so far!!

Work has been rough lately bc of the holidays, but hopefully I'll have more downtime in the coming months to dedicate to art and music. As always, feel free to hit me up if you wanna collab or just wanna talk!

I'm really sorry that I've been gone for so long! I've been hella busy with work, school and other miscellaneous bs, but I'm at the point where I have most of that sorted out and I'm ready to get back into making art!

What you can expect:

Fist off, my friends and I have been working on a game! It's mostly concepts for now, but we've got quite a bit of the OST done and we've also got a solid story/gameplay planned out. Not entirely sure when that will be released, but if all goes well we should have some semblance of a playable version by late summer/early fall!

Secondly, I have a few more ambitious animation-related projects I've been planning! I'm not gonna give too much away about these, but hopefully I'll be able to release something over the summer while I have time.

And lastly, I know I wasn't able to make anything for Pico Day or Piconjo day, but that doesn't mean I still won't! I love this website to bits and hopefully soon I'll be able to make a lil something (even though it'll be horrifically late lmao).

Exactly one year ago today is when I first made my NG account (I wouldn't end up posting anything until May but shhh let me have this).

I know I've talked about this a few times, but when I first joined here I was super unmotivated, and really nervous to even post anything here. But this community has been super welcoming and encouraging since day one, and I'm so happy that I decided to join!

It's super crazy that in only a year I was able to meet so many awesome people, participate in multiple collabs, and have at least one submission in every portal!! Including my first ever game that I posted a few days ago, which I never would've dreamed of attempting last year.

Now onto some updates + future projects. I had a few ideas for Pico Day/Piconjo Day, which I still may end up doing (would love to participate as both a tribute to this awesome website and as a proper thank you for OMG Flash Crashed Again lol) but sadly I don't think I'll have the time. I'm really busy with school, and I also got a job recently (at Hot Topic, which is one of the only places that would hire a rainbow-haired dumbass such as myself).

But despite that, I will be trying my best to make some more art soon, and hopefully I'll still be able to draw a little something for each event! Also, if you ever have any questions, collab ideas, or you just wanna chat, feel free to hit me up via NG messages or Discord (Maya Malice#8715).

Other people have been making these so I thought I'd join in too, here goes nothing:

Besides being a great place to post art and receive valuable feedback and criticism, Newgrounds has proven to be so much more than that. Especially with all the events and collaborations that I was able to participate in! And even though I've only been here for a few months, all of you lovely people have made them some of the raddest months of recent memory!

Aight sappy stuff out of the way, here's some notable things that I enjoyed from this year:

One of the first community-centric things I ever did was my wall art submission for the Summerfest! I remember I only had around seven fans at the time, which is why it meant so much to see my art along with all the other incredible submissions featured in the wallpaper rotation! That entire event was so much fun, big ups to Stanpai, LilSpook and the rest of the NG Fest staff!!

The first animation I ever posted on NG was my submission for round two of the Summer Animation Jams!! The other rounds were fun too, but I wanted to highlight round two specifically because of how much I enjoyed making my movie and seeing what everyone else had put together. To this day my round two submission is probably my favorite thing I've ever made! Huge thanks to BrandyBuizel for hosting the Summer Jams!

Some other things I really enjoyed participating in this year were some of the numerous art contests hosted on the site! Most notably the submissions I made for the Pod-Chan art contest and the more recent Rumble Reveal art contest, both of which I really enjoyed making. It was super fun to go outside my comfort zone and try something new! I can't wait to join more in the future!

And last but not least, one of the things that I enjoyed the most was meeting and interacting with so many amazing people! This little portion goes out to all of the people I have talked to/collaborated with, you guys are all so awesome!! The two collabs that come to mind are the P3n0rween Collab and the Get Well Soon Collab! Both of which have to do with Piconjo lmao but they were still super fun! Hopefully in 2022 I'll be able to participate in more collabs, and meet even more of you lovely people!!

Thank you all so much for an amazing year, espcially Tom Fulp and the NG staff!! Here's to another awesome year!!

-Include the character you want me to draw (can be original or from a certain franchise, however if it's original you must have a reference)

-Tell me what you want the character to be doing or what pose you want them in (this one is optional, however it can help me out quite a bit!!)

-Also if you're messaging me on Discord be sure to link your NG so I can tag you!!

Also here's a few rules for your submissions:

-Please don't ask for any NSFW or fetish stuff (I'm a minor!!!), if I catch you sending me that shit you're getting blocked immediately

-Only ask for one character, so no scenes or ship art allowed

-Don't ask for any kind of background, as these will most likely be clear PNGs

-Don't send me multiple requests, I will only draw one thing for each person

Also please note that at the end of the day it is my decision to draw your request or not, so please don't give me shit if yours doesn't get in.

You have until September 5th to submit a request, so if you're interested you better get to it!!

Hoooly shit I don't even know how to put into words how happy I am right now!!

For starters, I got 13th place on Round 2 of the Summer Animation Jams!! (Which I can still hardly believe) I'm so grateful for all the support and all the kind words in the reviews, as a newcomer here it truly means a lot!! Also mad probs to the judges and everyone else who submitted an entry to the Jam, all of the entries that I saw were absolutely incredible!!

Also, thanks so much for 50 (technically 51 right now lol) fans!! Once again I'm still new here but it really means a lot that you guys are willing to stick around!!!
